In October 2002 XinLing and Mommy drove back to Colorado for our court date
in Fort Collins, Colorado. In this ceremony, The State of Colorado recognized
XinLings adoption held in China, and issued her a new birth certificate with her
new name and an adoption decree from the State of Colorado. This was a very
special day for our family and the Judge was very nice and let XinLing sit
in his lap and play with his toys. He also gave XinLing a newly minted,
uncirculated 2002 quarter to keep as a souvineer. If you look closely you
can see it in XinLings left hand.
