XinLing Ann's Home Page

On January 28, 2002, I received my referral for my beautiful daughter, XinLing Hong. Her name means New (Xin) Cutie or Smartie (Ling). Her last name she shared with all orphan and abandoned children in NanChang. Hong was once the name of Nanchang and is given to all the children in state care. Her birthdate is estimated to be April 13, 2001. She was found outside the Xin Jian County Civil Affairs Building in Jiangxi Province on April 16, 2001, when she was placed in the care of the NanChang Social Welfare Institute in ,Jiangxi Province.

On June 7, 2001 she was place with a foster family, where she remained until I was able to meet her on March 3, 2002. Here is a shot taken when we first met as a family. In this photo she is greeting her new grandmother.

Her adoption was made offical on March 4, 2002 and her participation was noted at the end of the ceremony with the placement of her footprint on the paperwork. This was a very exciting moment for me as it signified we were truely and legally a family now.
